So that's gone, and then he goes on to create Pushing Daisies, and finally, FINALLY, it seems like the man has a hit on his hands! It does well, the ratings are pretty good, the critics love it! And then the writers strike, which accomplished nothing, happens, and when the show finally comes back on the air, nobody remembered it existed and it was also canceled. We all know how that went, not that it was very good after Season 1 to begin with (though, I personally couldn't get through even that). So then he goes to work on Heroes for a time. Fox not only aired just 4 episodes of the show, but they aired them OUT.
#Wonderfalls wound up penguin series
You'd think that a guy who wrote the majority of one of the Star Trek series would get SOME sembelance of respect, but apparently not. Campy, quirky and totally enthralling, Wonderfalls would've been an absolute hit.had Fox treated it with any modicum of respect. Besides, he left after the first five episodes anyway, so he goes on to co-create Wonderfalls, which was also amazing. When asked why it was canceled, the people in charge at Showtime literally said, "We don't know." And then, to top it all off, someone else creates Reaper, a show which basically takes the same general premise and runs longer, all while being a lot stupider (personal opinion).
Dead Like Me was totally original and so well done, but it lasted two seasons. I've followed Fullers solo career since Dead Like Me and god, this poor bastard just has been screwed every step of the way.
